Module 10 curriculum outcome guide

Description

The reading for this assignment will focus your efforts on four policy and procedure areas where your performance as a manager will help you build an effective team. Policies and procedures are tools to help us build our team members, protect their rights, and at the same time protect the enterprise. Many managers avoid administering policies and procedures but this inevitably leads to more problems and complications. The rule of thumb is that if you ignore an issue with a team member, it will escalate into a major confrontation. Your job is to insure that things do not get out of hand by addressing in a coaching framework issues as they arise. Administering these policies and procedures should always be done within the context of what you have learned leading up to this module. You will have one assignment on this module helping to leave you time to work on your final project which follows.

Performance tasks

Week 10 assignment

We have selected four policy areas out of the enterprise policy manual. You should be familiar with the policy manual and your review of these sections will help you coach your team members and administer corrective action if needed. Please read the suggested topics in each section and if you have time, review the rest of the topics not specifically noted. (note that any suggested topics and reference materials will be useful based on the setting and the enterprise or open class)

Are you ready to complete the final project?

When you are finished with the assignment from the week 10 self-study learning assignment, please go onto the final project. Make sure that you give yourself enough time to complete this project by the end of week ten.  If you have any questions, please contact your instructor

We recommend that you build ongoing conversations with our fellow learners via the discussion board
